Stethoskop kaufen: Beispiele aus der Praxis
In den verschiedensten medizinischen Fachrichtungen kommt das Gerät zum Einsatz. Grundlegend unterstützt es das medizinische Personal bei drei Kategorien:
- Kardio: Die Beurteilung der Herzfunktion ist im medizinischen Bereich unerlässlich. Denn allein durch das Abhören des Herzschlages lassen sich ungewöhnliche Geräusche schnell, einfach und effizient nachweisen. Dies gilt zum Beispiel für unregelmäßige Herzschläge, aber auch für Herzrauschen, ausgelöst durch Strömungsgeräusche des Blutes.
- Pulmo: Die Kontrolle der Atemfunktion gehört zu den täglichen Aufgaben des medizinischen Personals. Denn allein über Lungengeräusche lassen sich wertvolle Schlüsse über die Lungengesundheit ziehen. Weichen die Geräusche von der Norm ab, liegt eventuell eine Bronchitis oder Lungenentzündung vor.
- Abdomen: Im Bauchraum ist das Gerät ebenso aktiv. Auffällige Geräusche wie Knurren, Grummeln oder Rumoren können nämlich auf verschiedenste abdominale Störungen hindeuten. Selbst, wenn die Darmgeräusche komplett ausbleiben, gilt dies in der Medizin als wichtiger Hinweis. Für eine korrekte Diagnose ist die Untersuchung mit dem medizinischen Abhörgerät daher meist unumgänglich.
Tipps für die Praxis
Für ein bestmögliches Resultat achtet der Mediziner auf die Positionierung des Geräts. Wichtig ist ein direkter Kontakt zwischen Haut und Bruststück. Haare und Kleidung dürfen die Stelle nicht verdecken. Ansonsten verfälscht sich das Ergebnis.
Mindestens genauso wichtig ist der Druck. Mit einem leichten Druck sind niedrigfrequente Geräusche wie Abdominalgeräusche besser wahrzunehmen, mit einem stärkeren Druck hingegen hochfrequente Geräusche wie Atem- und Herzgeräusche.
Die Untersuchung findet bestenfalls in einer ruhigen Umgebung ohne Störgeräusche statt. So kann sich der Arzt oder das medizinische Fachpersonal auf das Wesentlich konzentrieren – Körpergeräusche.
Das Metallstück fühlt sich oft unangenehm kalt auf der Haut an. Aus diesem Grund sollte es der Mediziner vor der Untersuchung kurz in der Handfläche anwärmen.
Nach jedem Patientenkontakt steht erst einmal eine gründliche Reinigung an. Das senkt das Risiko einer Kreuzinfektion. Was ist ein Stethoskop?
Bei einem Stethoskop handelt es sich um ein wichtiges medizinisches Instrument, das der Untersuchung von Patienten dient. Hauptsächlich verwenden es Ärzte und medizinische Fachangestellte (MFA), um die internen Geräusche des menschlichen Körpers abzuhören und einzuordnen. Dies gilt aber nicht nur für Herzschläge und Atemgeräusche. Auch die Flüssigkeitsbewegungen innerhalb des Körpers lassen sich mithilfe eines Stethoskops kontrollieren.
Wie benutzt man ein Stethoskop?
Meist setzt sich das medizinische Instrument aus einem oder mehreren Schläuchen zusammen, die jeweils in ein Metallstück münden. Das eine Ende des Geräts hält sich der behandelnde Arzt oder der medizinische Fachangestellte während der Untersuchung ans Ohr. Das andere Ende des Instruments liegt auf dem Körper des Patienten auf.
Zuverlässig leiten die Schläuche die Geräusche des Körpers an das Gehör des Arztes oder des medizinischen Fachpersonals weiter. So können sie eine erste fachliche Einschätzung abgeben.
Aus diesen Bausteinen setzt sich das medizinische Instrument im Regelfall zusammen:
- das Brustteil (Bruststück): Diesen Bestandteil platziert der Mediziner auf einer bestimmten Stelle des Körpers. Dank der sensiblen Membran nimmt es gewissenhaft Vibrationen auf und wandelt sie in Schallwellen um.
- Schläuche und Ohrstücke: Über das schmale Kabel gelangen die Schallwellen direkt zum Ohr des Mediziners. Im Idealfall sitzen die Ohrstücke angenehm leicht, aber immer noch so fest, dass sie störende Außengeräusche abschirmen.
- Die Schlauchlänge ist nicht exakt festgelegt. Meist bewegt sie sich zwischen 45 und 75 Zentimetern.

Bei einem Patient besteht Verdacht auf Lungenentzündung. So hört der behandelnde Arzt oder das medizinische Fachpersonal zuallererst seinen Rücken mit dem Instrument ab. Vernimmt er auffällige Rasselgeräusche oder ähnliche Abweichungen, liegt eine Entzündung oder andere Infektion nahe. Atemprobleme lassen sich ebenfalls feststellen, zum Beispiel ein Keuchen oder eine Kurzatmigkeit.
Wie funktioniert ein Stethoskop?
Das medizinische Abhörgerät absorbiert Vibrationen (Schallwellen) im menschlichen Körper und wandelt sie in Geräusche um, die für das menschliche Gehör wahrnehmbar sind. Sobald das Bruststück auf dem Körper des Patienten aufliegt, zeichnet es die Schallwellen auf, die durch typische Bewegungen im Körper wie zum Beispiel den Herzschlag oder die Atmung erzeugt werden. Die feine Membran des Brustteils nimmt sie als Vibrationen auf. Und genau diese Vibrationen lösen Schallwellen aus, die nun durch den Schlauch direkt an das Ohr des Arztes oder des medizinischen Fachpersonals gelangen.
Erklären lässt sich das Prinzip des medizinischen Instruments mit dem Prinzip der Resonanz. Hierbei handelt es sich um ein physikalisches Phänomen. Bei einer bestimmten Frequenz schwingt ein Objekt bei maximaler Amplitude. Dabei räsoniert die empfindliche Membran des Bruststücks die Schallwellen, die unsere Körperbewegungen verursachen. Dadurch bündeln und verstärken sich die Schallwellen.
